JOHN CARROLL WRESTLERS DEFEAT SPALDING, 42-15, TO WRAP UP THE B CONFERENCE DUAL MEET TITLE

John Carroll swept a tri-meet last night at Harford Tech, including a
42-15 MIAA B Conference win over Archbishop Spalding, which allowed the
Patriots to complete their league schedule undefeated at 7-0 and wrap
up the 2006-2007 B Conference Dual Meet title. It is the second B
Conference championship for the Patriots and their first since the
2001-2002 season.

John Carroll, which has wrestled more than 40
duals this winter, is 35-8 overall. Last night, the Patriots got pins
from Matt Bodt (112), Ryan Owens (125), Matt Miller (135), Eric Hart
(135), Tim Webster (189), Jeff Lipinski (140) and John Van Paris (285)
in their win over Spalding (7-9, 4-1), which which won the B Conference
is 2004-2005 and shared it with St. Paul’s in 2003-2004.

Later, Webster, Lipinski and Von Paris each had falls in the Patriots 47-14 win over Harford Tech.
