Chapelgate Christian School is off to a blistering start, having won seven games, all shutouts, according to its coach, Jason Bennett.
A recent 4-0 victory over league rival Key School was comprised of a hat trick by Jim Becker, and a fourth goal by his brother, sophomore Mike Becker. Sam Orlando and Sam Hayden had one each in assists. “I played two goal keepers this game,” said Bennett, whose freshman, Steve Handy and senior, Matt Siggins, combined for four saves. During a recent tournament in Lancaster, Pa., Chapelgate notched six shutouts in as many victories. –Lem Satterfield
