CURLEY WINS ANOTHER CLOSE ONE

Brandon Carroll scored a game-high 19 points as Archbishop Curley rallied past Boys’ Latin, 37-36, in a MIAA B Conference contest on Lake Avenue Tuesday. The Friars (15-6 overall, 9-2 league), who trailed 20-14 at halftime, maintain second in the North division behind No. 11 Mount Carmel.

Junior guard Patrick Rose had eight points to lead Boys’ Latin (4-15, 4-8). The Lakers host St. Paul’s School Friday afternoon in league action while Curley travels to Friends School.

Junior forward Sidney McCray scored 16 points, and sophomore Winfield Willis added 13 leading St. Paul’s School past Gilman School in a MIAA B North division contest in Brooklandville. Virgil Davis and freshman Miles Code each had 11 points for the Crusaders (9-9, 3-6).

Junior guard Greg McBride scored 16 points to lead Gilman (7-14, 4-8), which hosts Annapolis Area Christian Friday afternoon. St. Paul’s travels to Boys’ Latin Friday, for a second meeting in less than a week.

Glenn Segure scored a game-high 27 points as Elkton Christian edged Annapolis Area Christian in non-league action. Senior Christian Parker scored 24 points for Annapolis Area (8-12 overall), which plays at Gilman School in MIAA B Conference action Friday afternoon.
