St. John’s Catholic Prep is off to a 2-0 start in the MIAA C Conference, after the Vikings plated 14 runs in a 14-8 league victory over St. Frances, yesterday at Hanlon Park in Baltimore.
Sophomore Ryan McDowell went the distance for his first win of the year as St. John’s improved to 2-3 overall. He was helped offensively by Ben Munyan, who collected two hits and five RBI. Sean Connole also had two hits and three RBI, while Stephen Semelsberger had a triple and three runs scored.
Davante Brown and Reggie Wallace each collected three hits in a losing cause for St. Frances (3-6, 1-2).
